03 Is there a lifetime option?
Not currently. Annual pricing lets us keep shipping updates, security patches, and new features consistently. The $100/year Pro tier is still priced below alternatives that charge $119+ for less functionality.
04 Do I need WooCommerce?
No. The core plugin — viewer, file manager, role gating, shortcodes, print blocking — works on any WordPress install. WooCommerce adds two extras: purchase-gated access and the [mediaguard_library] shortcode for customer download libraries.
05 Is Media Guard an LMS like LearnDash or LifterLMS?
No. LearnDash and LifterLMS handle courses, quizzes, and student progression. Media Guard protects the course PDFs, workbooks, video lessons, and bulk media libraries those students access. It fits alongside an LMS instead of replacing it.
06 What payment methods do you accept?
Credit card and debit card via Stripe. Checkout is handled securely through WooCommerce + Stripe — we never see or store your card details.
07 Can I use one license on staging and production?
Yes. Pro and Agency licenses activate on one production domain per seat. Staging and local development domains are automatically detected and do not consume a seat. Detected patterns: localhost, 127.0.0.1, RFC1918 private IPs, hosts ending in .local / .test / .localhost, and subdomains starting with staging., stage., dev., test., qa., preview., or preprod.
